Hi, I’m Matthew. Welcome to my website!

From a young age I was drawn to the act of making things. Hand-drawn books of local interesting street lights and buildings. Making slot machines out of recycled cardboard boxes with the help of my Dad. Holding music shows with my Nan and Grandad from across the road where I would design the programmes, popcorn bags and tickets – as well as choreograph the disco lights, music and smoke machine.

As I got older, my attention turned to the world of computers and technology. In my early teenage years I ran a decently-sized news and media website focussed on ‘The Sims’ franchise, as well as making machinima movies using ‘The Sims 2’. In my mid-teen years I discovered the world of photography and took a particular liking toward landscape and nature photography (as a painfully shy boy back then I liked that I didn’t have to use actual people as subjects!). I have also dabbled with redesigning app and OS user interfaces, creative writing, social media duties and many other disciplines over the years, too.

In my early twenties I was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Adrenomyeloneuropathy (or AMN for short). The experience of going through something so disruptive relatively early in life was a lot, but fortunately I made it out the other side stronger than before. Throughout my life I found that focussing on being productive and creative has brought about so much learning and joy; I hope that never changes.

I’m currently most active with the Imagination Assembly and Snowfox projects.
